What the classes are:

Fun, easy to follow, non-intimidating, choreography-based classes with options to suit dancers of all levels

Each DVD contains a warm-up/cool down, full length beginner, intermediate and advanced classes, and dance parties for each class. (Scroll down for full descriptions)

What the classes are not:

They are not slickly produced or fancy.  They were filmed to be the same experience as taking a class with me – I’m not wearing make-up, I’m not interested in looking perfect so we did very few re-takes, I am having fun and I hope you will too!

  1. Hey Ragen,

I’m interested in buying the DVDs, but I’m in the UK. (I have a multi-region DVD player, so no problem there). Do you ship internationally?

  2. The same question I’d like to ask – to Australia!

  3. I ordered mine, I am pretty excited to learn some dance moves, I have tried a few other dvd’s since there really isn’t anything in my area but they left me feeling like a complete failure, or by the end had me feeling so bad about my that I was in tears. Can’t wait to get these, I have always wanted to learn some moves so that I could be able to dance and feel more confident when moving my body but everything I tried made me feel awful and unwelcome. Even though I haven’t even seen them yet … thank you for making them!

  4. I just ordered mine. I can’t wait and it ships on my birthday!!! :-D

  5. Ragen, this sounds so fantastic! Are these routines designed for a pair of dancers to dance as partners, or as solo numbers?

    • Hi Laura, they are designed for one dancer – they are jazz-based rather than ballroom-based. Thanks for asking!

      ~Ragen

  6. Oh my gosh I think I need these. I took dance for 15 years and was absolutely devastated that my studio stopped classes after high school and I didn’t have anywhere to go. I’ve been wanting to dance on my own, but I’m a terrible choreographer lol. I can’t wait until I have money for this!

  7. I am very much a beginner! I just ordered both and I cannot wait to get them! How do you recommend working up to the more advanced routines?

    • Hi Melinda,

Cool beans, thank you so much for ordering the classes :) The beginner routines give building blocks for the intermediate routines, and the intermediate routines give a lot of the building blocks for the advanced routines. I’ll also be putting out free video supplements to help with technique on the advanced routines.

      ~Ragen

  8. hi ragen, this is so cool! i’ve heard heavy woman at single bass gigs and always wanted to dance to it ;) technical question, will the DVD play on a laptop as i live in UK and don’t have a us-friendly dvd player?
    you are a star!

    • Hi There! I wish I could hear them at gigs :) The DVD should play in a laptop. If you decide to get it and it doesn’t work I’ll certainly refund the DVD price. ~Ragen

  9. Hi Ragen,
I would like to know if enjoying Volume 2 is dependent on learning Volume 1 first. If I order only one DVD (or one at a time) does it make sense to buy Vol 1 first? I ask because the description of Vol 2 appeals to me a bit more than the other.
    Thanks.

    • Hi Judy,

The volumes are separate so you could start with either one.  If Volume 2 sounds more interesting then definitely I would suggest ordering that one!

      ~Ragen

  10. So happy to have treated myself to both Volumes! Thanks Ragen. I’m two hours out of Los Angeles but once I have some moves down I will definitely be seeking out some classes.

  11. RAGEN!! I live in Los Angeles and I’m excited for the day that you offer some (live) classes around here! I’ll be the first to sign up!!! -C
